Use of SZ Servicing Limited website and App

By browsing the website or using the app you agree to these terms and the SZ Servicing Limited Privacy Policy.  

The website contains general information about our solar subscription service including to investigate buying a home with a Energy Service Agreement Attached.  All tables, charts and graphs, together with any information provided on the website and app are, unless expressly stated, based on average household experiences and data available from equipment manufacturers. All houses and households have a different solar profile, and these differences impact the savings you can make.

While SZ Servicing Limited makes every effort to ensure the information available on the website and app is accurate and up to date, SZ Servicing Limited cannot guarantee that the information is error free or that all information will be accurate and/or current.  SZ Servicing Limited does not make any promises that the website or the app will always be available to you.

Nothing in these terms will affect any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. 

SZ Servicing Limited may update the website and app, and these terms from time to time. Updates to these terms will take effect from the date identified in these terms. You agree to be bound by any changes to these terms by continuing to use the website and/or app.  If you do not wish to be bound by the changes to these terms you must not use the website or the app.

The SZ Servicing Limited privacy policy will also apply to your use of the website and app and sets out how we collect and use your personal information.  Please read our Privacy Policy.

These terms apply to your use of the website and app.  If you acquired products and/or services from SolarZero, a separate contract applies to the provision of those products and/or services. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Your obligations

You must not use the website or app in breach of the law, to damage or disrupt the website or app.

Where you use the website or app to access your account, including MySolarZero:

  • you must register to create an account and login details.  Registration and accessing an account is free, but data usage fees from your internet or mobile provider may apply;
  • you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and any information you provide to us up to date.  If you suspect your login details have become known to an unauthorised person, you must tell us immediately;
  • you are responsible for all use of the app, your account including “MySolarZero” associated with your login details. 

Intellectual property

SZ Servicing Limited owns, or has rights to use, all content on the website and app.  You may use the website and  app for your non-commercial use, but you may not copy any content or use the content of the website or app for commercial use without SolarZero’s prior written consent.

Third party sites

The website and app may include links to third party websites, apps or content.  SZ Servicing Limited is not responsible for those third-party website, apps, content or services provided by the third party and will have no liability in connection with those third parties. You will be responsible for your use of such third-party websites, apps, content or services.

Our liability

Except for any liability we have to you under applicable consumer protection laws, SZ Servicing Limited will not be liable to any party for damages or losses whether direct, indirect, consequential, or other, for any use or inability to use the website or app. You are responsible for ensuring the security of the device you use to access the website and app.

As part of our commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers, we record all telephone calls answered in our contact centres. This helps us to identify ways that we can provide you with a better service.

So we can find ways to simplify our service to you.

To ensure we have an accurate record of your call which may be needed to support any transactions that take place over the phone and/or if there is a dispute.

We understand your personal information is important and we are committed to protecting your privacy. We store the recordings securely for a minimum of seven years after the date of the call and destroy them after this period. You can request access to and correction of the personal information we hold about you.

Amendment and Termination

Because SolarZero has been placed into liquidation and is being managed under contract by SZ Servicing, the company is currently not offering a referral scheme.  

Liability

This clause is without prejudice to a participant’s rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
