Securing your energy future
Your Energy Service Agreement remains secure, delivering solar and battery power without the hardware cost.
Our Story
On November 26, 2024, SolarZero Limited was placed into liquidation, however the company’s 15,000 subscribers can rest assured that their Energy Service Agreement continues.
SolarZero’s lenders asked the Public Trust to step in before SolarZero was placed into insolvency. By assuming ownership of the two companies that hold the contracts with SolarZero customers, the Public Trust can ensure those obligations are protected while the insolvency process is worked through.
The Public Trust is a Crown entity that supervises some of the country’s most prominent financial services businesses, ensuring they meet high standards and protecting the interests of kiwi investors.
Monthly subscription payments are being managed by the Public Trust, a Crown-owned trustee company, and are protected from SolarZero’s insolvency.
Management is now with SZ Servicing Limited, which provides contract servicing to the trust of which Public Trust is the trustee.
